Work-Life Services

We have learned that today's employee spends a significant percentage of work time dealing with childcare and eldercare issues.Frequently, the employee has to miss work or take time while at work to handle these issues. First Advantage offers the full array of work-life services to assist your employee with solutions to these problems. All work-life services are provided telephonically and are accessed through the EAP 800 number. The caller is then connected to the appropriate services through a warm transfer.

Menu of Work-Life Services Offered:

Child/Elder Services - This service offers telephonic consultation, referral, and educational services to employees and their family members, seeking help with childcare, parenting, elderly or disabled adult. In addition to the telephonic information given, each caller receives extensive information by mail. Child and eldercare experts provide this service through a partnership with First Advantage.

Legal Services - This is the most extensively used work-life service. An employee or eligible dependent can speak with a lawyer at no cost Monday-Friday in every time zone. There is also a discounted rate for employees/dependents that need to have a face-to-face meeting with a lawyer.

Financial Services - Employees or their dependents requesting financial services are transferred immediately to a qualified financial advisor. The subject matter of the call is not restricted and may involve any questions relating to financial planning, debt resolution, investments and taxes. These advisors do not sell investment products and have no affiliation with any organization that does.

Online Support Services - First Advantage offers interactive online employee assistance services, which can be used as a stand-alone resource or as a complement to the full EAP. Employees and family members can obtain free information, education and strategies for better and healthier living, as well as for specific problems they may be experiencing. The online support service consists of more than 160 interactive self-help programs, ranging from 5-30 minutes in length.
