An EAP is most successful when the program partners with the Human Resource professionals and management staff. Supervisors at all levels need to understand how to use the EAP as a management tool, and feel empowered to do so. Why an EAP?
The purpose of an EAP is to improve the performance of your workforce. First
Advantage EAP accomplishes this in a number of ways.
First, we can work directly with employees to help them identify and resolve personal concerns, especially those that affect work performance or would affect work performance if the employee did not receive help immediately. Then, we work with supervisors/management staff to help them to identify any troubled employees and to then determine the appropriate steps to help these employees. Early identification and intervention are key to cost-saving solutions to workplace problems.
Finally, we work with human resources and other managers, as appropriate, to develop polices, procedures, and training programs, for example, to address a broad range of organizational issues.
