More than a century of experience

First Advantage offers its customers more than a century's worth of experience delivering information to enterprises of every size. Our majority shareholder, First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF), is one of the nation's leading providers of business data, tracing its history to 1889. The First American Corporation and US Search.com Inc., one of the nation's most recognized providers of location, verification and screening services, agreed in December 2002, to merge their screening and information businesses to form a new company, First Advantage Corporation (NASDAQ:FADV).

The merger, concluded on June 5, 2003, combined the companies in First American's Screening Information group with US Search and its employment screening subsidiary. The combination of these businesses created a new public corporation, with revenues in excess of $150 million in 2002 and anticipated long-term growth of 20 percent annually. At formation, First Advantage was approximately 80 percent owned by The First American Corporation.
